GTD, Getting Things Done:

43Folders - Getting started with "Getting Things Done"
how does GTD work?:

  1. identify all the stuff in your life that isn』t in the right place (close all open loops)
  2. get rid of the stuff that isn』t yours or you don』t need right now
  3. create a right place that you trust and that supports your working style and values
  4. put your stuff in the right place, consistently
  5. do your stuff in a way that honors your time, your energy, and the context of any given moment
  6. iterate and refactor mercilessly

GTD is nerd-friendly:

  1. nerds are often disorganized or have a twisted skein of attention-deficit issues
  2. nerds love assessing, classifying, and defining the objects in their world
  3. nerds crave actionable items and roll their eyes at 「mission statements」 and lofty management patois
  4. nerds like things that work with technology-agnostic and lofi tools
  5. nerds like frameworks but tend to ignore rules
  6. nerds are unusually open to change (if it can be demonstrated to work better than what they』re currently using)
  7. nerds like fixing things on their own terms
  8. nerds have too many projects and lots and lots of stuff

microformats

Designed for humans first and machines second, microformats are a set of simple, open data formats built upon existing and widely adopted standards. Instead of throwing away what works today, microformats intend to solve simpler problems first by adapting to current behaviors and usage patterns (e.g. XHTML, blogging).

xFolk(via xxc - How do I bookmark my links?):

xFolk is an open xhtml microformat that allows users to publish their own folksonomy classifications for aggregation by the services they choose. As such, it starts to give back users control of their own data. A side benefit of xFolk is that users may designate explicit semantics for their folksonomy tags, providing a link to the more formal practices of information architects.

The TTLB Blogosphere Ecosystem -
