NuWeb - Web 3.0?
2006/12/27，上午去參加吳昇老師的 NuWeb - Web 3.0 發表會，現場似乎多數是學術界人士，業界人很少，大頭僅博客來總經理張天立現身會場，還問了商業化可能遇到的問題。
我也問了，關於 "by/for/of the user" 這樣的好概念，一般使用者似乎不太在意（BSP/Y拍搬家潮都是口頭說說），重點還是在產品本身。吳老師回應，認為目前使用者沒有好選擇、不會搬，未來他們會持續強化產品、並推出搬家功能。
後續我沒講的是，NuWeb 的部落格能強過 WP、相簿超越 Flickr、書籤打敗黑米嗎？ 儘管 NuWeb 將會 open source，但我感覺會很辛苦。
嗯，還有 nuweb.cc 這網域名稱真不好， .cc....

我覺得吳老師是想藉宣揚自己的理想讓有志一同的人加入, 大家認同並共同推廣這個理念, 才有機會成功..
但是我認為搞網路不是在搞革命, 不是要消滅 google, yahoo, MS... 這些大公司真的是邪惡帝國嗎? 只要有資本主義就有併購, 不只是網路業, 傳產業, 各行各業都有.. 這不是靠網路平台能解決的問題
把自己的理想套上 web3.0 做行銷, 實在是很不洽當. 什麼是 web3.0, 我覺得應該物兢天擇, 由網民決定誰是存活者, 現在不管誰打 web3.0 的招牌, 都只是在消費這個招牌, 真的有本事何須掛這個招牌呢

Sounds like a very narrow vision to me, there are already various sources trying to define web 3.0 when nobody is sure what web 2.0 is yet. What this one is trying to achieve is similar to various P2P projects. The mission statement sounds like GNU. Yes, in Taiwan small web sites / BBS servers tend to be PC's, the project looks like an extension to the current situation, by connecting dots into a web. The only problem is that this method is highly inefficient. The industry is moving towards virtual computing (e.g. Amazon's EC2) to achieve economies of scale why would one go back to hosting a web site on one's own PC and pay for hardware and bandwidth costs? Furthermore where is the web app element of web 3.0? Where is the API? And where is the source code?

曾經在去年8月 介紹過 以不同觀點或角度所觀察的 Web 3.0，並認為現階段不用急著去搞懂它。沒想到最近有越來越多人在談論 Web 3.0，特別是中正大學也在上個月發表了 NeWeb 計畫。

哈囉，很高興看到大家在這裡的討論，也看到Nuweb散播出去的種子漸漸萌芽。
醞釀了很久，精益求精的Nuweb團隊近日決議，將爲2007.07.07(六)舉辦NuWeb 3.0 Alpha版lauch party. 專案領導吳昇教授將會現場示範最新Nubrain, Nublog等軟體功能的操作，並且歡迎各界對web 3.0議題關心的意見領袖前來共襄盛舉！

The Nuweb Team, after relentless endeavors and inspirations, has decided to lauch the Nuweb 3.0 (alpha) on the 7th of July, 2007 (Sat).
