Money in Politics 2009: New Horizons for Reform
SMALL DONORS, LARGE DONORS AND THE INTERNET:The Case for Public Financing after Obama。

Bo has the White House, but what about the rest of America's pets?",幫待認養的狗請命,頗感好奇,阿波怎麼又變成是被認養的狗了?
The Obamas are in the unique position of being advocates by example, and their decision to adopt Bo, who had been returned after being adopted by another family, is a good act to follow.

Here's where the intrigue comes in:
- Bo's breeders happen to have bred Sen. Edward Kennedy's Portuguese water dogs. The Massachusetts Democrat, an Obama friend and political ally, also acquired a pup from Bo's litter. Bo's breeders are fans of Obama and named Bo's litter the Hope and Change litter.
- Bo's first owner lives in Washington.
- Bo was returned to the breeder in early March, fitting the spring timeline the Obamas had given for their dog adoption.
- Kennedy and his wife Victoria helped line Bo up with the Obamas. Before moving into the White House, the pup spent nearly a month with the Kennedys' dog trainer in Virginia.
- In fact, Bo is a gift to the Obamas' daughters, Malia and Sasha, from the Kennedys, said Katie McCormick Lelyveld, a spokeswoman for Michelle Obama. The puppy officially arrives Tuesday.
What the job entails isn’t completely clear to me, but I gather that she plans on using Web tools to let, well, citizens participate in the Obama White House.
The model: Google’s “Moderator” tool, which let people submit questions for the Presidential debates, and was later used to let them suggest initiatives for the new administration via its Change.gov site.

techPresident - Why the White House's Embrace of Drupal Matters:
Drupal developers are abuzz with the realization that the White House's new Recovery.gov site was built using the free and open-source content management platform Drupal.
Drupal Nation: Software to Power the Left,對於 Drupal 干政的歷史有一些介紹。
THE CROWD AND THE CLOUD: THE IMPACT OF THE INTERNET ON U.S.
Between now and January 8th, 10 supporters and their guests will be selected to join the Inaugural activities.
If you make a donation -- in any amount -- to make the Inauguration a success, you and a guest could be flown to Washington, D.C., put up in a hotel, and be there as Barack is sworn in as the 44th President.
Make a donation of $5 or more right now. You and a guest could receive your ticket to history.
